At the Chemeca 2025 Conference in Australia, our Head of Technical Services, Jaime-Ann Babwah, presented on PPGPL’s Energy Transition Journey, sharing how we’re tackling declining gas flows and climate change with innovation, teamwork, and measurable results.

Jaime-Ann’s presentation highlighted how PPGPL is addressing declining gas flows and climate challenges through innovation, collaboration, and a clear energy management strategy.

In 2023, the company implemented a comprehensive Energy Policy and established a cross-functional team of energy ambassadors to drive efficiency across operations.

Since then, PPGPL has made measurable progress, achieving an 18% improvement in overall energy efficiency, with projected savings of US$1.8M by the end of 2025.

This success stems from focused initiatives that optimize fuel gas use, reduce methane emissions, lower electricity consumption, and promote energy awareness across the organization.

Our journey is proof that sustainability and competitiveness can go hand in hand.

Every improvement strengthens our resilience, reduces carbon emissions, protects jobs, and contributes to a better quality of life for all.
