Sean Balkissoon

Sean Balkissoon was appointed Director on the PPGPL Board on May 21, 2020. Mr. Balkissoon brings considerable experience to the post, having worked for over 25 years, with focus on the downstream methanol and ammonia industry.

Mr. Balkissoon holds a BSc. In Chemical Engineering (Hons.) from The University of the West Indies (UWI) St. Augustine, and an Executive MBA (Hons.) from the Arthur Lok Jack Graduate School of Business.

He began his career as a Process Engineer at Trinidad Cement Limited, then progressed through several senior positions at Hydro Agri Trinidad (now Yara), Industrial Plant Services Limited and British Gas Trinidad and Tobago.

In the latter part of his career, Mr. Balkissoon held the role of Regional Manager for Johnson Matthey, a catalyst and technology supplier to the industry. His portfolio included the methanol and ammonia industry sector for the South America region, which has gained him extensive learnings of the regional industry and market opportunities, as well as relationships with key players at major and minor producing companies.

Mr. Balkissoon is a member of the Energy Chamber of Trinidad and Tobago and the American Institute of Chemical Engineers (AIChE). Your message is ready to be sent with the following file or link attachments.
